TGV trains operate all over France, with various connections to neighbouring countries.

In 2007, a new TGV line has been opened. The TGV Est connects Paris with Strasbourg (2:20 hours), Basel (3 hours) and Zürich (4:30 hours), reducing travel time by 1,5 hours.

Special features

The TGV (high-speed train) with record speeds of up to 515 km/h (320 mph) is one of the fastest trains in the world. All TGV trains have a selfservice restaurant car.

Eurail Pass holders

Eurail Pass holders do not have to pay a supplement. Seat reservations are compulsory.
