Routes

Thalys trains operate on the following routes:

  • Paris - Bruxelles - Amsterdam
  • Paris - Bruxelles - Liège - Köln
  • Paris - Bruxelles - Oostende
  • Paris - Mons - Namur - Liège

Special Features

28 Thalys trains run every day between Paris and Bruxelles in 1.25 hours, 5 of those trains link to Amsterdam in about 4 hours. Thalys also links Paris to Liège in 2.24 hours, Antwerpen in 2.20 hours, Oostende in 2.45 hours, Namur in 2.24 hours and Köln in 3.45 hours. Special prices are applied depending on passenger type, length of stay, comfort level purchase, refund and exchange conditions.

The traditional 1st and 2nd classes have been renamed “Comfort 1” and “Comfort 2” calling to mind the idea that the level of service is the main difference between them. In Comfort 1 passengers are served a light meal or a snack and drink. In the Netherlands Thalys is closed for domestic traffic.

By October 2008 all Thalys trains should be equipped with Wi-fi internet. The service will be free for first class passengers. Passengers in second class will have to pay €6.50 (US$10) for an hour of Wi-fi connection or €13 (US$20) for the entire trip.

Eurail Pass holders

Eurail Pass holders have to pay a special fare. Please note that the special Pass holders fare is subject to availability.
