Guardian Unlimited recently made a top 10 of Top shelves, which included some book stores in Eurail countries:
- Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen in a converted church in Maastricht, The Netherlands (at no. 1!)
- Livraria Lello in Porto, Portugal (#3)
- Posada art books in Brussels, Belgium (#7)
Of course there are many more book shops in Europe you shouldn't miss. A few suggestions in France:
- The Red Wheelbarrow, the English-language bookstore in the Marais, in the heart of Paris.
- Shakespeare & Company, another famous bookstore in Paris. In the movie Before Sunset Ethan Hawke and Julie Delphy met here!
- Le Furet du Nord (Lille, France) is perhaps the largest bookstore in Europe. It has 8 floors and offers more than 420,000 titles.
