Palin's New EuropeMichael Palin, well-known documentary-maker and once a member of Monty Python, has been traveling through 'New Europe'. Between May 2006 and May 2007 he traveled 11,964 miles and visited 20 countries in Eastern Europe.

In the New Europe series, Michael travelled in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kaliningrad/Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany. These countries were once hidden for tourists behind the Iron Curtain.
