Euro 2008
Every four years, the UEFA European Football Championship is held in a different country. The Euro 2008 edition takes even place in two countries: neighbours Austria and Switzerland host the tournament together. The first match takes place on June 7th, the final is held in Vienna on 29 June 2008. Apart from the matches, all kinds of festivities take place in the fan zones in the eight host cities. The ideal way to soak up the football atmosphere is to travel with the Austria - Switzerland Pass.
Tour de France
Another major yearly event is the Tour de France. This is the biggest cycling event in the world, held since 1903. Around 200 riders compete for the yellow jersey in 21 stages around France, cheered by millions of visitors. The 2008 Tour de France is set to begin on July 5th, running until July 27th, 2008. This year the Tour will also visit Italy for two stages, so the best Pass to attend all action is the France-Italy Pass.
