How to obtain benefits?
Benefits can usually be obtained locally, or through a website or call centre of the benefit partner involved. On our benefit pages per country you can find contact details and sometimes additional instructions. If in doubt how to use a benefit, contact the benefit partner in advance.
Pass Benefit rules
There are some rules involved in the use of extra Eurail Pass benefits:
- A free benefit can only be used on a travel day which you fill in on your Pass (if you have a Pass with flexi validity, like 10 days in 2 months).
- A benefit with a a reduction only can be used anytime, within the general validity of your Pass.
Shipping Benefit Rules:
- For free travel on international shipping lines, the Pass must be valid in the country of departure AND the country of arrival.
- For reduced travel on international shipping lines, your Eurail Pass must be valid for the country of departure OR for the country of arrival.
- For domestic shipping lines, your Eurail Pass must be valid in the country you travel in.
- When you take an overnight ferry between Greece and Italy, you can choose which day you enter on your flexible Pass.
