Whether you can take a bike on the train depends on the country and the type of train. Many high-speed trains will not carry bikes, but most local trains will accept them.
In order to find out which trains accept bicycles, you can consult an online timetable. After filling in your departure and destination station, you will be able to select the option “carriage of bicycles required”. The timetable will show you trains that allow you to bring a bicycle.
Sometimes (folding) bicycles may be carried free of charge, sometimes you have to pay a supplement. This is not included in the Eurail Pass. Before boarding a train with a bike, you have to go to a local ticket window. Ask for a bicycle ticket for the bicycle and (if possible) reserve space for it on the train of your choice.
Most larger train stations have facilities for renting and storing bicycles.
Consult the railway companies for specific info on bicycles per country.
