Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take my car on the train?

Most trains in Europe don't carry cars or motorbikes, just passengers and their luggage (and often bicycles).

There are some trains on selected holiday routes that offer the option of transporting cars. Often these are special trains run by private companies. Therefore Eurail Passes are not valid for these trains. Some examples:

- Germany to France, Italy, Austria, Croatia:  DB AutoZug website
- Netherlands to France & Italy:  Autoslaaptrein.nl (Dutch only)
