Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enter an overnight journey in my travel calendar?

It depends on your departure and arrival times if the overnight journey counts as 1 or 2 travel days on your Eurail Pass.

If you take a direct overnight train that departs after 19:00 hours (7pm) and arrives after 04:00 hours (4am), then you enter only the date of arrival. This is known as the 7pm rule.

If this is not the case, you would need to use two travel days for your overnight journey.

When using a free overnight ferry covered by your Eurail Pass, you may enter either the departure or arrival date on your travel calendar.
