Travel to Italy and Spain by Train

The Eurail Italy - Spain Pass entitles you to unlimited rail travel in Italy and Spain. This Pass is available for 4 up to and including 10 days within a 2-month period.

The Eurail Italy - Spain Pass also entitles you to benefit from bonuses in Spain and Italy.

This Pass is not available for sale in Europe.
A lot of trains in Italy and Spain have compulsory reservations.

  • The Italy-Spain Youth Pass is for individual or group travelers who are 25 or younger on their first day of travel.
  • Youth Passes are valid in second class and are approx. 35% cheaper than the Adult first class fare.
  • Youth travelers who prefer to travel in first class, can buy an Adult fare Pass.

Eurail Passes can NOT be used by residents of most European countries, they can travel with InterRail Passes.

  • A Saver Pass gives 15% reduction on the normal Adult price.

Travel between Italy and Spain

The countries of Italy and Spain are connected by ferries operated by Grimaldi Lines. These are not included in the price of the Pass, but Eurail Pass holders are offered a 20% reduction on the standard passenger and cabin fares. 

Italy and Spain boast impressive high speed train lines, like the Alaris, Altaria, Euromed and Ave in Spain and the Eurostar in Italy, which take you quickly from city to city in comfort and style. Travel, for example, from Milan to Florence in under 3 hours, or from Madrid to Barcelona in around 4 hours (please note that compulsory seat reservations are not included in the price of the Eurail Pass).
