Overnight trains with sleeping cars

Overnight trains offer a comfortable way of traveling at night. From reclining seats to private sleeping cabins, there's a travel option for every wish and budget!

Overview of night trains

The list above is not exhaustive, there are more overnight trains in Europe.

Eurail Pass and overnight trains

Eurail Pass holders only pay a supplement for the sleeping accomodation. Supplements can vary from 3 euro for a reclining seat to 100 euro for a private sleeping cabin. See also the page Reservation fees for night trains.

You can make a reservation in advance at a train station or through a travel agent. See also the page How to make a reservation. Tip: sometimes you can buy the supplement from the train staff if the train isn't fully booked.
