Discounts for Eurail Pass Holders

If your Eurail Pass is valid in France, you can make use of reduced boat crossings, reduced travel on some private railways, free metro from the airport in Paris, free buses and other benefits offered by our partners.

Benefits can be obtained locally by showing your Pass, or through a call centre or website of the company concerned. Free benefits usually require the use of a travel day.

Boat Discounts

Irish Ferries
30% discount on current foot passenger fares on these ferry routes, if your Eurail Pass is valid in either the country of departure OR the country of arrival:

  • Roscoff – Rosslare (May to September)
  • Cherbourg - Rosslare (February to December).

No daily sailings, reservation compulsory. Cabin accommodation is available at an extra charge.

In order to claim the reduction, please make your booking on-line at www.irishferries.com and pay in full first. Then e-mail your booking reference number and your InterRail Pass number to bookings@irishferries.com. The relevant reduction will be applied to your booking and the credit will be refunded to you via the credit card system. Please send the e-mail to Irish Ferries at least 5 days before your outward travel date. You may be asked to show your Eurail Pass when you check-in for the sailing.

Free transport on the RER underground Line B:

  • from Paris Charles De Gaulle airport to Paris Gare du Nord railway station (in this direction only)

In order to obtain access to this RER train, go to the RER station at CDG Terminal 1 or 2. Ask for a ‘contremarque‘ at the ticket window, showing your Pass. Free benefits can only be used during travel days, discounted benefits can be used during the overall validity of the Pass. When using free international ferries, the Pass must be valid in the country of departure and the country of arrival. For reduced international ferries, the Pass must be valid in the country of departure or the country of arrival. Benefits can be obtained locally from the involved companies.
