On each travel day you have access to the train networks of the countries where your Eurail pass is valid. If you’re planning to travel by train on most days of your trip, a pass that’s valid e.g. 2 months continuous* will give you the freedom you want. With this type of pass each day can be used as a travel day, but of course you’re not required to travel every single day! What is a travel day?

A travel day lasts 24 hours from midnight to midnight. On each travel day you have access to the train networks and participating ferry companies where your Eurail pass is valid.

What does 4 to 10 days within 2 months mean?

A pass with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 days within 2 months means that you get 4 to 10 travel days during which you can travel by train within a 2 month period. Travel days are flexible so you can decide on the go when you use each one.

Are reservations included in my pass?

No, reservation fees are not included in your Eurail pass. Train reservations are required on some high-speed and international trains and most night trains.
