InterCity trains run at speeds up to 100 mph (160 km/h).
The services offered by PKP include:
High-standard international day trains to Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Prague and Vienna. High-standard international night trains to Berlin, Budapest and Prague.
All international trains have air-conditioned coaches. National Hotel trains running from Gdynia to Zakopane, from Kraków to Kolobrzeg and from Warsaw to Szczecin/Swinoujscie. These trains only have sleeping cars and couchettes and do not stop at intermediate stations.
Not only the international services are of a high standard, the domestic trains also offer good quality transportation in Poland.
Exceptions
InterRail Passes are not valid in Poland on:
- all trains operated by Arriva PCC;
- all trains operated by Koleje Dolnośląskie (local trains in the region of Lower Silesia);
- the train run by Koleje Mazowieckie (KM) on the route Varsovie (Warsaw) - Gdynia.
