Superfast Ferries (Adriatic Sea)

Superfast ferryWith the fleet of Superfast Ferries you can travel fast and comfortably on the Adriatic Sea between Greece and Italy. If your Eurail Pass is valid in both countries, deck passage is free!

Ferry routes:

  • Patras / Igoumenitsa (Greece) - Ancona (Italy)
  • Patras / Igoumenitsa / Corfu (Greece) - Bari* (Italy)

* The Bari route is jointly operated by Superfast Ferries
and Blue Star Ferries, both members of the Attica Group.

Prices / discounts for Eurail Pass holders

Discounts for Eurail Pass holders (when the Pass is valid in Greece AND Italy):
Deck passage is free on all crossings. For 1st class Pass holders, air craft type seats or dormitories are included in the Pass. In June and September a 10 Euro middle season surcharge must be paid. In July and August a 20 Euro high season surcharge must be paid. Also 7 Euro port taxes must be paid per passenger per embarkation.

For Eurail Greece Pass holders and Eurail Italy Pass holders there is a 30% discount on the full fare rates. Reservations are compulsory. Eurail passengers have two options of making a reservation: at the port on the day of travel or by sending an e-mail to the following address: info.athens@superfast.com.

Domestic route Piraeus - Heraklion
Furthermore as a Eurail Pass holder you get 30% discount on the Greek route Piraeus - Heraklion (Crete), provided that you have already made a crossing in the Adriatic Sea routes with Superfast Ferries or Blue Star Ferries.

Travel times, number of crossings

Ancona - Patras: 21 hours, daily sailings (two daily sailings every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)
Ancona - Igoumenitsa: 15 hours, daily sailings (two daily sailings every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday)
Bari - Patras: 15 hours 30, one daily sailing
Bari - Corfu: 8 hours, sailings only during the summer period 
Bari - Igoumenitsa: 9 hours 30, one daily sailing

On board facilities

All vessels are equipped with facilities and entertainment options such as: A la Carte and Self Service Restaurants, Bars, Swimming pool, Casino, Internet Corner and Disco. All cabin categories (2, 3 or 4 beds inside/outside) have ergonomic design and spacious interior including shower and W.C. Air Craft Type seats can be readily turned into comfy reclining surfaces. Male and female couchette cabins contain up to 6 comfortable berths and offer a more affordable travelling option. Particular attention is paid to the cabins designed for travellers with special needs.
