  • How far in advance can I buy my Eurail Pass?  

    You can order your Eurail Pass up to 11 months in advance of your trip. Within these 11 months, you need to activate your pass at a European train station. You can also get your pass pre-activated when you order it online at Eurail.com.

    View the shipping calculator to find out the expected delivery date of your order. You can also have your pass delivered to a European address (for example, your accommodation or a friend's address).

  • Are there any extra order fees? 

    No, Eurail.com does not charge any hidden fees on top of the price of your Eurail pass.

  • Can I print my Eurail pass as an e-ticket?  

    No, a Eurail pass is only available as a paper document which we send to you by registered mail. It's not possible to print the pass yourself or to have it e-mailed to you.

  • Can I protect my pass against loss and theft? 

    Yes, the Pass Loss & Theft Coverage (LTC) protects your valuable Eurail pass for a small fee. The LTC covers the costs of expensive replacement tickets in the case of loss or theft, up to the remaining value of your pass.

  • What are the delivery options? 

    We offer 3 methods of signed delivery of your Eurail Pass, including FREE Economy Shipping to the United States.

    With the shipping calculator you can check out the expected delivery date and costs of your order.

    If you don't have the time to receive your pass at your home address, we can ship it to your hotel or hostel in Europe.

  • Can I buy Eurail passes in Europe? 

    Yes, you can buy certain Eurail passes at European train stations, but this is more expensive than ordering online. We recommend you order your Eurail pass with Eurail.com and have it delivered to your home or work address. We also deliver to Europe, including to hotels and hostels.

  • Can you ship my pass to a train station? 

    No, we don't deliver to train stations. However, we can deliver your Eurail pass to your accommodation in Europe.

  • Can you ship my pass to a P.O. Box?  

    No, we don't deliver to P.O. boxes in most countries as someone must be available to sign for the package during business hours. However, there are some exceptions.

  • Can you ship my pass to an APO address?  

    Yes, military customers can have their Eurail pass shipped to an APO address (Army Post Office Box) in the U.S.A. This option will appear when you select 'United States' as your shipping country. Please note that it can take up to a month for orders to be delivered from the APO address to your location.

  • Can someone else sign for the delivery of my pass? 

    Yes, anyone can sign for your package, including family members, neighbors and hotel receptionists.

Payment of your order

 
  • How can I pay if I don't have a credit card? 

    If you don't have a credit card to pay for your Eurail order, you can:

    • Use a Visa Electron debit card (available in some countries).

    • Create a free PayPal account and transfer funds from your bank account to PayPal.

    • Ask a family member or friend to make the payment on your behalf using their credit card.

  • Can I split the costs between multiple credit cards or pay in installments? 

    No, you will need to pay the full amount in one payment.

  • Can I change information in my order after payment? 

    No, this is not possible. Once you have paid for your order, it will be fulfilled immediately in order to assure the fastest shipping possible. This procedure is fully automated, which means that the information printed on the pass will be exactly the same as you have filled it in during the order process. Therefore, please be extra careful with the information you provide!

    After payment, if you wish to change or amend information on the pass, you will need to exchange the pass for a new one. In such as case, the exchange procedure applies as explained in our Booking Terms.

  • What is 3D Secure payment?  

    Eurail.com is dedicated to providing secure online payment methods. That’s why we've added an extra level of security for Visa and MasterCard payments, which protects you from the unauthorized use of your credit card. 3-D Secure technology consists of the programs Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.
