How do I avoid trains that have limited seating for pass holders?

French TGV trains and the Thalys have a limited number of seats available for Eurail pass holders. We recommend that you make reservations for the high season (May- September) as early as possible.
 

Alternative routes

If the train you want to take is fully booked for pass holders, these are your options:

• Purchase a full fare train ticket and buy a pass with fewer travel days.
• Search for an alternative route that avoids using a TGV or Thalys train.
