Travel for free on new train between Austria and Italy
Eurail pass holders with a pass valid in Austria and Italy can travel for free on the new MICOTRA train on the route Villach - Udine. If your pass is only valid in Austria or Italy you'll have to pay for the missing part of the journey.
The MICOTRA trains are operated by the ÖBB and the regional Friulan railway operator Ferrovie Udine Cividale (FUC) and they run daily. Bicycle transport is possible until October 28.
