We're almost getting to that time again – Ibiza's famed Closing Parties are just around the corner! During the last three weeks of September, the Spanish clubber's paradise will have a final explosion of hedonistic parties, before the summer season draws to an end. Like the opening parties in June, the closing editions are promised to be unbelievably good. For a lot of hardcore ravers, these parties are the climax of the summer party calendar.
If you have a Eurail pass that is valid in Spain, including the Eurail Global Pass or the Eurail Spain Pass, you're entitled to a 20% discount on ferry crossings with Balearia from mainland Spain to Ibiza. This year, expect a world-class turnout of top international DJs and a supreme party atmosphere. Here are five great Ibiza Closing Parties coming up in 2011:
- Judgement Sunday @ Eden (Sunday 18th September) – Judge Jules's popular trance night.
- Carl Cox @ Space (Tuesday 20th September) – this international techno and house DJ is guaranteed to create a storm of a night at Space.
- Cream @ Amnesia (Thursday 22nd September) – one of the best nights on the Ibiza calendar.
- We Love Space @ Space (Sunday 25th September) – the phenonmenal line-up includes Fatboy Slim, Aphex Twin and 2manydjs.
- Defected @ Pacha (Saturday 24th September) – Bob Sinclair will be blasting out some top house tunes.
Ibiza is famous for its dusk 'til dawn party heaven, however the north of the island is much more tranquil with a stunning rugged coastline and a bohemian vibe. There are gorgeous beaches and some ideal spots for some well-deserved relaxation after a few days of heavy partying.
