Trains from Paris to Venice and Rome
The Artesia de Nuit night train (routes: Paris-Milan-Venice and Paris-Florence-Rome) will be suspended from December 11, 2011. This train will be replaced by a new night train service operated by “Thello” which will provide the following route: Paris Gare de Lyon-Milan Centrale Station-Venice Santa Lucia.
This service is not yet covered by the Eurail pass, since Thello is a new company and has not yet joined the group of railway companies which make up Eurail. This means that to travel between Paris, Milan and Venice with the Thello you will need to purchase a ticket or take one of the alternative routes listed below. Prices start at €35 for a 6-bed couchette. You can book online, on the Thello website (French only); by phone: + 33 1 83 82 00 00 from 10:00 to 21:00 or at the Thello shop at the Gare de Lyon train station in Paris, open 10:00 to 21:00.
