Starting from December 2010, a new daily Eurocity train runs on the route Munich - Innsbruck - Verona - Venice. This comfortable train takes you in only 6,5 hours from Munich to Venice.
Since 2009, DB and ÖBB offer Eurocity train services from Munich via Innsbruck to Italy (Bolzano, Verona, Milan, Bologna) up to 5 times a day. This very scenic route via the Alps has become highly popular. Not so strange, because passengers are treated to breath-taking views of traditional mountain-villages and romantic towns.

The Eurocity trains offer large panorama windows, comfortable seats, a full service restaurant car and dedicated first class service.
These trains are operated by the German railway company DB and the Austrian railway company ÖBB. Reservation is recommended, but not compulsory for Eurail Pass holders. Reservation fees start from € 4,50 in 2nd class when made in Germany, in other countries they are available from € 7.
