1. Florence (Firenze) – Rome (Roma)

Just a short train ride separates two of Italy's most beloved cities, Florence and Rome. In Florence, marvel at the extraordinary architecture of the Il Duomo and check out great Renaissance art from the likes of Michaelangelo. Rome is a mix of ancient relics and cosmopolitan cool visit the Colosseum and Roman Forum, as well as the tiny sovereign city-state, the Vatican City.

Madrid, the capital, is an easy city to get around with great museums, a picturesque park and affordable Spanish cuisine. Madrid's rival, Barcelona can boast Guadi-inspired Barcelona.
