Reservations for night trains are always compulsory. The reservation fee varies depending on the type of sleeping accommodation you choose. For domestic and international trains in high-season and during peak times, advance booking is recommended. Some trains, including the French TGV and Thalys trains, have a limited number of seats for Eurail travelers.
For the domestic trains listed below, advance reservation is compulsory or recommended.
