Our Booking Terms define the conditions of your purchase on You must agree to these conditions before completing your purchase.


Refunds, cancellations and exchanges

  • All Eurail pass refund requests must be made exclusively at the company where the pass in question has been purchased, while presenting the original pass in its pass cover. If you’ve purchased your pass at, contact's order support team to begin the return procedure.

  • A refund can be granted if you have purchased your pass directly from our website, If you purchased your pass elsewhere, we can’t grant a refund. Please consider that we are not able to process a refund for a bigger amount than the total order value.


  • Refunds are subject to a 15% cancellation fee after payment to has been made, except when you have purchased the Premium Shipping service and the first delivery attempt of the package is later than the Estimated Delivery Date as indicated during the order process. In this case, you are entitled to a 100% refund including shipping costs.

  • A refund is based only on the cost of your pass, not including paid shipping and Pass Loss & Theft Coverage.

  • In case of an exchange for a different pass or an accidental double order, a 100% refund minus an administrative fee of 15 euros per pass or the equivalent of 15 euros in local currency will apply, instead of the standard 15% administration fee.

  • No revision, amendment or changes in the order are possible after payment. Orders are fulfilled immediately, to assure the fastest shipping possible. If you wish to change something in your order, you will need to exchange the pass for a new one. Exchange procedure applies as stated above.

  • Unused passes bought at can be exchanged for a different pass type by contacting's order support team. Please ensure that you contact the correct office to ensure a speedy response.

  • Unused rail passes are refundable within 1 year from the purchase date (this is the issue date printed on the pass), provided they have not been activated (validated).

  • Partially used or activated (validated) passes are 100% non-refundable.

  • Shipping charges are not refundable, except when the Premium Shipping service has been purchased, and the first delivery attempt of the pass is later than the Estimated Delivery Date as indicated during the order process.

  • Lost or stolen rail passes are neither refundable nor replaceable, except when Pass Loss & Theft Coverage has been purchased and these specific terms apply.

  • In certain circumstances, sensitive personal data such as medical certificates may be requested in order to determine whether a refund can be given.

  • When applying for an LTC claim, you are requested to enclose flight tickets to and from Europe, replacement pass/tickets, police report and (possibly) sensitive personal data (such as medical certificates). Please note that it’s not possible to send any of the previous documents back to the customer. 

  • Eurail passes are non-extendable at any point. All the available validity periods are listed on our website. If you wish to change this, you will need to exchange the pass for a new one, provided that it is still unused and unactivated. In this case, the return policy applies. Once you have activated your pass, no exchange or refund is possible.

  • Pass Loss and Theft Coverage costs are non-refundable. After payment of your pass, it is not possible to cancel the Loss and Theft Coverage. 

  • It is not possible to issue a duplicate of the pass or to issue replacement passes or tickets. If your pass is lost or stolen and you purchased the Pass Loss & Theft Coverage, applicable conditions apply.

  • The Loss & Theft Coverage is for Eurail passes only and does not apply to train reservations made through our Reservation Service.

  • If a passenger, before or on the first day of validity of an activated pass, decides not to use his Eurail Pass, railway staff can render the pass NOT USED. This is done by drawing two diagonal crossing lines across the front of the ticket and writing “Not used” on it, signing it and stamping it with an office date stamp. If, before or on the first day of validity of an activated pass, 1 or more persons on a Eurail Saver Pass decide not to travel, railway staff must cross out the names of the travelers in question on the Control Voucher while indicating “NOT USED” behind these names, signing it and stamping it with an office date stamp.

  • The return of a pass can only be done and will only be accepted via mail as per our Return Policy. Our fulfillment centers will not accept packages that are brought to our installations personally, as visitors are not allowed. Customers who wish to return their pass, must do so by following the established procedures in our Return Policy. 

Delivery of the package

  • Delivery times stated on the website are indicative only. does its best to deliver the pass on time, but will not be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered from late arrival of the pass or any other delivery problems, specifically not if the delay is caused by the postal service or courier. is neither responsible nor liable for any further travel arrangements suffered from late arrival of the pass. See the following table for the shipping costs of the different shipping options:

  • Should your pass be late for your trip, you can always exchange it for a new one from or buy a new pass at major European train stations. You can also buy regular tickets at the train station to continue your trip. Please note that return policy applies in all cases. 

  • Travelers are responsible for filling in the right shipping details during the order process. 

  • Immediately upon receipt, please verify that all ordered products have been delivered. If the package is incomplete, please contact our order support team within 48 hours.

  • If the package does not arrive on time, please contact our order support team. will work with the client to find a satisfactory solution.

  • If a package that is sent with Economy Shipping without Track & Trace gets lost, it can take up to 2 weeks before we get the required information from the postal service to find a solution.

  • does not deliver to P.O. boxes in most countries as someone must be available to sign for the package during business hours. However, there are some exceptions that can be found here.

  • When a shipping method is chosen that offers online tracking, the customer will receive the tracking details in the shipping confirmation email. The customer is responsible for checking the tracking details frequently, to see if there are any delivery issues and to act upon it.

  • Once the package has been delivered and/or signed for, will not be held responsible for any loss or damage. 

Travel conditions

  • All bookings are accepted and all passes are issued on the express condition that Eurail is not responsible nor liable for any loss (consequential or otherwise); damage (including, but not limited to, loss of, or damage to passengers' clothes, baggage, property, whatsoever); death, injury, delay, inconvenience or irregularity caused by, or arising from, or in connection with, any defect in any train, vehicle or other land or sea conveyance used, rented, or traveled in; or through the negligence, willful misconduct, strikes, or other acts, defaults, or omissions of any railroad carrier, car rental or other provider of goods and services.

  • Travel with a Eurail pass is subject to the conditions, tariffs and regulations imposed by the European rail, shipping, bus or other companies, firms, or persons concerned. These conditions include making mandatory reservations on specific trains in some countries.

  • Travel with a Eurail Pass is subject to the conditions of use listed in the pass guide.

  • Youth passes can only be used by travelers under the age of 26 on the first day the Eurail pass is valid.

  • Saver Passes can only be used by travelers who are traveling in a group of 2 or more people.

  • Complaints about's service, website and the fulfilment of orders made with can be sent to: The Complaints Department handles all communication and/or refund requests on behalf of the management of The Complaints Department is available during business days and strives to reply to you within 2 business days.

  • Complaints concerning the Eurail product, such as the way the pass works, train quality, railway staff (including confiscated passes), strikes or the fact that certain trains have limited seats or require reservations must be addressed to the Eurail Group G.I.E, the company that manages the Eurail product.

Country of Residence

You can use a Eurail pass if you are a non-European citizen. You need a valid travel document, e.g. passport or ID card, to travel with Eurail.

Citizens of the following countries are not entitled to buy a Eurail pass:
Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, FYR Macedonia, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia and Kosovo, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom or Vatican City.

Train staff will check your residency in your travel document, so make sure that you bring the right documents.

If you have both a European and a non-European nationality, and possess valid travel documents from both countries, you can choose between a Eurail pass and an Interrail pass.

Train reservations

Our Booking Terms define the conditions of your train reservation purchase on You must agree to these conditions before completing your purchase.

  • The reservation service is only for customers who bought their rail pass from or

  • A reservation is a printed ticket that provides a seat or sleeping accommodation for a specific transportation service.

  • Reservations are made with the information that you provide to us via the reservation booking form. The customer is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of this information.

  • Not all trains can be reserved through our reservation system. In the event that your chosen train cannot be reserved, we will strive to find a suitable alternative if desired.

  • Reservations can only be used on the specified service, date and time stated on the ticket.

  • Travel with a reservation made through is subject to the conditions, tariffs and regulations enforced by the European rail, bus or other companies, firms, or persons concerned.

  • Payment is made in Euros only. You can pay by PayPal or with credit card. The booking fee is 8 euros per train and delivery of your reservation tickets is free.

  • If the payment is not completed before the expiry date provided in the account, the train reservations will be automatically canceled.

  • Upon receiving the package, please check if the ordered reservation tickets are all there and that the information on the tickets is correct. If the package is incomplete or if the information on the tickets is incorrect, please contact within 48 hours.

Delivery of reservation tickets

  • It is not possible to collect your reservation tickets at a station or office. They can only be sent by mail to a physical address. We do not ship to P.O. boxes.

  • Delivery times stated upon payment are indicative only. does its best to deliver the tickets on time, but will not be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered from late arrival of the tickets or any other delivery problems, specifically not if the delay is caused by the postal service or courier. is neither responsible nor liable for any further travel arrangements suffered from late arrival of the tickets. If tickets have not been received at the estimated date of delivery, please contact's order support team.

Refund Policy

  • Once payment is made, reservations can only be refunded according to this refund policy.

  • There can only be a refund for tickets that have been purchased at

  • Changes to reservations after payment will be treated as a cancellation and new booking, and charged accordingly.

  • Refunds are only offered on individual train reservations exceeding the value of 25 euros per person. The amount of the refund may differ per train type and is dependent on the rules of the railway companies. The money will be refunded to the credit card or payment method that you originally used to place your order within 2 business days after return of the original ticket. All booking fees are non-refundable.

  • Unless reservation conditions specifically allow otherwise, cancelations can only be made prior to departure by sending an email to

  • The original physical reservation ticket is required  in order to process any refund. This reservation ticket needs to be returned to us within a month after the reserved train's departure.

    • Compensation requests for delays, strikes  and train cancelations must be made by sending an email to Where possible the original reservation tickets should be marked unused by railway staff. When compensation applies, this does not include other consequences such as missed hotel reservations or flights.

    • Compensation requests for cancelation due to illness must be accompanied by a certified doctors note.

  • has been appointed by the Eurail Group G.I.E. as a Eurail General Sales Agent and is authorized to act as an intermediary between travellers and the European Railway companies that are members of the Eurail Group G.I.E by means of selling Eurail passes.

  • Every booking accepted is subject to a fraud check. Potentially fraudulent bookings will be manually reviewed,  and the customers will be contacted,  if needed. This will happen within 48 hours after booking, during business days. is not responsible nor liable for any loss (consequential or otherwise); damage, delay, inconvenience or irregularity caused by, or arising from, or in connection with this process.

  • Travel insurance is recommended.

  • Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents and visas.

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Hotel and hostel bookings are carried out by our selected partners HotelsCombined and Hostel World. cannot be held responsible for any changes, refunds or complaints with hotel bookings, nor for changes to hotel reservations caused by train delays, strikes, etc. Any queries regarding hotel bookings must be dealt with by the selected hotel or hostel partner.

  • Travelers should be able to present both the original Eurail pass and reservation ticket to railway staff. Copies are not accepted.

  • does not charge any kind of exchange, bank or international transaction fee. Eurail.Com is located in the Netherlands, therefore, an international transaction fee may be charged by your bank. If your bank account is in another currency than your order on our website, the exchange rate will be applied by your bank. Some banks might charge an exchange fee for this.

  • is not responsible or liable for compensation or adjusted offers in the case that governmental taxes are levied upon international purchases (products bought from are considered as such). Should the actual amount paid for a product bought from be higher than the amount stated on the website as a result of governmental taxes or other charges levied by the importing country, then this will need to be addressed to the government in question directly. cannot be held responsible or liable for issuing compensation or refunds based on this.
