Euromed trains run along the east coast of Spain traveling from Barcelona to Alicante. The modern Euromed train offers passengers beautiful Mediterranean views as it travels the east coast reaching speeds of up 200km/h. The Euromed like most of the modern Spanish fleet offers a great onboard service with ample space and seats that can be adjusted to face the direction of travel as well as audio/video entertainment and a buffet car. 1st class (preferente) passengers can access the lounge at the station before departure, enjoy free newspapers/magazines, a welcome drink and on some services a meal served to your seat.

There are 8-12 services per day from Barcelona to Alicante.

Euromed trains operate on the following routes:
  • Barcelona - Tarragona
  • Barcelona - Castellón
  • Barcelona - Valencia
  • Barcelona - Alicante



Reservations can be made up to 62 days in advance. Reservations can be made at a ticket desk or self-service machine at local train stations or by calling the Renfe Call Center. Renfe does not mail reservations to your address; however you can pick them up at any Spanish train station.
