Le Frecce trains (Eurostar Italia) in Italy

Le Frecce (formerly known as Eurostar Italia) is a network of modern high-speed trains that operate in Italy. There are three different Le Frecce trains that all operate on their own routes.

Frecciarossa

Frecciarossa trains operate on the route Turin – Salerno and connect Italy's major cities like Milan and Rome. Frecciarossa trains offer great comfort in both 1st and 2nd class. 

Frecciargento

Frecciargento trains operate on the following routes:

  • Rome – Venice
  • Rome – Verona/Brescia/Bolzano
  • Rome – Bari/Lecce
  • Rome – Lamezia Terme/ReggioCalabria
  • Venice – Naples

Frecciabianca

Frecciabianca trains operate on the following routes:

  • Venice – Milan/Turin
  • Rome – Genoa
  • Milan – Bari

Eurail pass conditions

Eurail pass holders pay € 10 supplement, both in 1st and 2nd class. This fare includes the compulsory reservation.

Services

All coaches are air-conditioned. Catering services are provided by coffee bars or a sit-down restaurant car. 1st class reservations include a small snack and a hot or cold drink served at your seat. On morning trains a daily newspaper will be offered to you.
