City Night Line overnight trains

With the City Night Line (CNL) night trains, many fascinating cities in Europe are just a comfortable night train journey away. You have the convenience of traveling overnight and arriving refreshed and well rested with the whole day ahead of you!

With the City Night Line you simply choose the level of comfort you require, be it a private sleeper cabin, a couchette or a seated coach.

Eurail pass conditions

You can use your Eurail pass on all City Night Line trains. Pass holders only pay a reservation fee for the sleeping accommodation. Reservations are compulsory. You can make reservations at main train stations. You can also contact the City Night Line Customer Care at +49 (0) 1805 99 66 33  (6:00-24:00 hrs CET).

Deluxe for 3 persons: €50
Deluxe double: €70

2nd class

Sleeping car (with washing facilities)
Economy for 3 or 4 persons: €50

Economy single: €110

Couchette
For 5/6 persons: €27.50
For 4/2 persons: €37.50

Seating coach
Seat in compartment: €11.50
Seat in open-plan coach: €17.50

   Train update
 - Between January 24 and February 24, City Night Line trains between Paris and Berlin/Hamburg/Munich will not operate due to maintenance work. Read more

Services

Sleeper car fares also include breakfast, which will be served in your compartment. On some trains there also is an on-board restaurant to obtain meals, snacks and drinks. All City Night Line trains are non-smoking. You can ask for a wake-up call in the morning. All sleeping and couchette cars on night trains have special security facilities so that customers can lock the compartment from the inside.
