Alps scenic route

Direct Eurocity services run from Munich (Germany) via Austria to Italy. These scenic train routes via the Alps, feature breathtaking views of traditional mountain villages and romantic towns. These trains are operated by the German railway company DB and the Austrian railway company ÖBB.

Eurail pass conditions

Reservation is recommended for Eurail pass holders but not compulsory. Reservation fees are € 4,50 (2nd class) / € 5,50 (1st class) when made in Germany. In other countries the fees are € 7,00 (2nd class) / € 11,00 (1st class).

Eurocity restaurant car

The trains have a full service restaurant car with local specialties as well as a wide selection of soft drinks, wines and beer. There is a dedicated 1st class service, with leather seats, drinks and a selection of free journals.
