Eurail Unveils New Distribution Platform Providing Travel Partners with Convenient Rail Ticketing Options
Eurail, the train Pass that allows rail travel throughout 33 European countries with a single Pass, has unveiled a new distribution platform providing OTAs and travel companies with the ability to more easily sell Eurail Passes.
With a hassle-free API connection, distributors can seamlessly integrate, sell and issue Passes online as well as offline sales with the Eurail Ticketing System (ETS). Now, travel companies of all sizes can expand their product offerings, providing railway Passes as an added option for their customers.
The launch of Eurail’s new distribution program comes on the heels of the 2020 launch of the Eurail Mobile Pass (mPass). The introduction of the mPass was an instant success, changing the landscape of rail travel with click-of-the-button booking and activation for consumers, in addition to a safe and efficient centralized system for carriers with enhanced sales and customer insights.
Yi Ding, business and growth manager at Eurail: “The platform is simplifying the way we do business, while allowing new and established partners a turnkey way to become sales agents of our commissionable products. While our Passes have always been a popular choice for savvy travelers, the current demand for flexibility coupled with the continuous growth of sustainable travel leads us to project very strong demand in 2022 and beyond as Europe travel bounces back.”
The benefits of Eurail Global and One Country Passes are many, with discounts available on Youth and Senior Passes. Children travel free with an adult. Passes can be used within 11 months after purchase, with full flexibility in itinerary and starting date of the trip. Travelers can manage their trips independently with the Rail Planner app, including the ability to change or postpone travel plans at a limited cost as part of Eurail’s flexible refund and exchange policy. They can also take advantage of deals through Eurail’s dedicated partners.
Eurail gives travelers from all over the world the opportunity to experience flexible, borderless train travel across Europe. With a Eurail or Interrail Pass (for non-European and European citizens respectively), travelers of all ages can use an expansive network of train and ferry connections to travel in and between up to 33 countries. Eurail and Interrail Passes are available via the Eurail.com and Interrail.eu web shops, as well as via an extensive network of trusted distribution partners worldwide. Eurail B.V. is owned by over 35 European railway and ferry companies, and is based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. For more information, visit www.eurail.com or www.interrail.eu.
