A day trip to the dark water
It’s worth the trip to spend some time in Herceg Novi, a coastal town with plenty of gardens and parks. After that you can head off to the spectacular peninsulas of Boka Kotorska (Bay of Kotor), perhaps one of the most picturesque bays anywhere. With its jetting cliffs and dark blue water, you can discover more than half a dozen islands that make up this popular bay.

The sparkling Mediterranean harbor awaits you in the quaint town of Bar. Although there may not be enough to sustain you for an entire day in this little coastal town, it’s certainly a great place for a stroll. Not far from the town center is Skadarsko Jezero National Park, and the enormous Lake Scutari in the center.
Natural wonders in Kolašin
Stop in the fortress town of Kolašin, at the foot of the Bjelasica and Sinjajevina mountains, and take in some fantastic skiing in wintertime. The Biogradska Gora National Park is in the middle of Bjelasica Mountain, between Tara and Lim rivers is amazing. It's one of only three primeval forests in all of Europe. This lush area also includes tranquil lakes, including Biogradsko Lake, the largest glacier lake in the park. These are a nature-lover’s dream.
