Euromed high-speed train

Euromed trains run along the east coast of Spain, traveling from Barcelona to Alicante. These trains offer beautiful Mediterranean views and excellent onboard service. You can adjust your seat to face the direction of travel and enjoy a comfortable ride at a speed of up to 200km/h.

 

Euromed routes

There are 8-12 services per day from Barcelona to Alicante.

Euromed trains operate on the following routes:

  • Barcelona - Tarragona
  • Barcelona - Castellón
  • Barcelona - Valencia

    via Madrid Puerta de Atocha

  • Barcelona - Alicante

 

Reservations

 

Reservations on the Euromed high-speed trains are mandatory. We recommend you make your reservations as far in advance as possible.

How to make reservations for the Euromed

You can reserve your seat on the Euromed in the following ways:

  • At the train station. Keep in mind that trains can become full during busy times.

 

Reservation fees

  • 1st class (Preferente) seat: 23.50 euros
  • 2nd class (Turista) seat: 6.50 euro

 

Meal and drink are included in 1st class - except on Saturdays. If not available, reservation costs are 10 euros.

Please note that children under 4 require a (free) ticket to travel on this train. This ticket can be obtained from a RENFE point of sale at all major train stations in Spain.
