Here's everything you need to know about the Spring Sale. 

 

What are the general conditions of the Spring Sale?

Global Passes included in the Spring Sale:

  • All Eurail Global Passes 

  • Adult, Senior, Youth, and Child Passes

  • 1st and 2nd class

 

Start date of the Spring Sale mobile Passes*

After purchase, you can travel instantly with the mobile Pass or up to 11 months after purchase. There’s no need to choose a start date until you start your trip; however, you must begin your trip up to 11 months later.

 

* If you choose to buy a paper Pass in the Spring Sale, you will need to wait for it to arrive by post (this can take up to six weeks). 

 

Sales period:

Spring Sale Promo Passes are on sale until 12 March 2024. 

 

Refund and Exchange Policy

The refund and exchange conditions for the Spring Sale honor the standard refund rules (in other words, unused Promo Passes are 85% refundable). 

How much is the Spring Sale discount?

For Eurail, the Spring Sale starts on 20 February and ends on 12 March 2024.

What Passes are included in the Spring Sale?

All of our Global Passes + selected One Country Passes are included in our Spring Sale.

When can I activate my Spring Sale Pass, and how long can I use it?

You can activate your Spring Sale mobile Pass from the day of purchase up to 11 months later.

Can I get a refund if my plans change?

Yes! Unused Spring Sale Passes are 85% refundable.

Can I still purchase Plus to make my Pass 100% refundable?

Yes! You can absolutely gift yourself extra peace of mind by upgrading to Plus in the checkout (Plus makes your Pass 100% refundable).

Can I gift my Eurail Pass to someone else?

No, the Eurail Pass is personalized.

Where can I use the Global Pass?

The following countries have railway companies that accept the Global Pass: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey. 

What is a travel day?

Travel on as many trains as you like from midnight to midnight on each of your travel days. You get to choose whether to spread them out or use them back-to-back.

What rail services can I travel on with my Eurail Global Pass?

Check out the full list of railway companies covered by the Global Pass on the Eurail website (One Country Passes are only valid in the respective country selected).

Something went wrong in the checkout

 

Something went wrong with my order - can I still get the 15% discount?

Contact our customer service team, and they will look into it for you. 

 

Do you have a screenshot of the error or the payment confirmation? Be sure to attach it to your message to speed up the process (it will help us investigate what went wrong).

 

I bought a Pass before the Spring Sale started, will you refund me the difference?

No! Unfortunately, we cannot apply the 15% discount to Passes purchased before the sale starts or after it ends (no matter how close your purchase was to the start or end date of the sales period). 

 

However, you can request a Pass exchange as the Passes in the Spring Sale meet our standard refund conditions.

 

You can find the refund and exchange conditions of your Pass on the payment confirmation you received by email after your purchase. Please note that exchange fees and special conditions might apply.

My Spring Sale Passes vanished from the cart, what happened?

The Spring Sale discount for Eurail is available only from 20 February to 12 March 2024. Therefore, if you don’t pay for your Promo Pass(es) before the sale ends, your discounted Pass will be removed from your cart as the 15% discount is no longer available.

Did you add your Pass(es) to the cart before the Spring Sale started?

You won't be able to see the discount, so follow these 3 steps: 

 

Step 1: Remove the full-price Pass(es) from the cart. 

Step 2: Go back to the Pass page.

Step 3: Add the discounted Pass(es) to the cart to secure the 15% discount. 

 

 

Potential train disruptions in Europe

 

Do you have info about train disruptions in Europe?

Yes! From time to time, our participating railways perform scheduled maintenance work or go on strike. And this can lead to train cancellations. 

 

We do our best to keep our train disruption page accurate and up-to-date. However, we cannot influence train disruptions or strikes, and there are occasions when a trade union cancels a planned strike action at the last minute without our knowledge.
