Eurail Passes are for you if you’re a citizen or legal resident of a country in Asia, Africa, the Americas or Oceania. If not, you'll need to travel with an Interrail Pass.
If you're a a citizen of a country in Asia, Africa, the Americas or Oceania, but have legal residence in Europe, then you may travel with an Interrail Pass. But, when traveling, you must ensure to bring your valid residence permit, to show alongside your Pass.
A 2nd class Pass offers the standard European rail travel experience.
For a slightly higher price, a 1st class Pass gives you access to a premium rail experience, which can include more spacious seating, complimentary meals and drinks and access to station lounges.
A seat reservation is a ticket that ensures you'll have a place to sit (or sleep) on a particular train, even at busy times. Seat reservations can be bought to supplement your Eurail Pass, for an additional fee.
Reservations are mandatory for most high-speed trains and night trains in Europe, and highly recommended for popular routes.
