Everyone should be able to enjoy traveling by train. Please find an overview of passenger assistance offered by railway companies.
This depends first and foremost on where you want to go. If you're planning to visit a single country, you can choose a One Country Pass. If you want to visit multiple countries, the Global Pass (valid in 33 European countries) is your best bet.
You can get your mobile Pass ready for travel in three easy steps. You can do them all at once, or start now and finish later.
Before you start, make sure you have the latest version of our Rail Planner app on your device. You'll need an internet connection to use some features in the app while travelling with your mobile Pass. The mobile Pass is supported on Android 6.0 and later and iOS 16.0 and later.
You can use your Pass to travel on the national railways and some private railways in the countries where your Pass is valid. In some cases, these train networks reach airports as well. Check the full list here.
The Pass even includes certain buses and ferries to make sure everything is within reach.
The duration of a Pass depends on the type of Pass you have purchased. If you have already purchased your paper Pass, your end date is written on the top of your Pass. That is the last day your Pass is valid – you can use it up until midnight.
For a mobile Pass, the validity of the Pass can be found in the 'My Pass' tab under the 'Validity Period' section in the Rail Planner app.

In most countries, the ticket inspector will visually check the details on your ticket, including the journey information you added, while in some other countries, the ticket inspector will scan the barcode and visually check the journey information.
We update the timetable on our website and the Rail Planner app four times a week to keep the journey planner as accurate as possible for offline use during your trip. If you don’t have automatic app updates turned on in your phone settings, check your phone's app store before you travel to make sure you have the latest version.
A travel day is a 24-hour period in which you can travel on trains with your Eurail Pass. It lasts from 00:00 (midnight) to 11:59 pm (23:59) on the same calendar day. On each travel day, you have access to the train networks in which your Eurail Pass is valid.
With a Continuous Pass, such as the 1 month continuous Pass, every day in the validity period is a travel day, so you can travel by train every day, if you like. With a Flexi Pass, such as the 5 days in 1 month Pass, you pick and choose which days you would like to use as travel days.
Did you experience a train disruption while traveling with one of our Rail Passes? We are sorry to hear this. The rail network in Europe is complex and unfortunately sometimes trains are canceled or do not make it to their destination on time.
To compensate you for the inconvenience sustained as a result of this disruption, Eurail B.V. has set up a dedicated policy and we will be happy to review your case.
You can make seat reservations through the Eurail.com website for 95% of all European trains. To do this, you need a Eurail Pass and a Eurail.com account. You can also book many trains through our Rail Planner app.

If you haven't already done so, you will first need to create a trip in your account.

Most reservations are non-refundable. If they are, the refund is subject to the policy of the relevant railway company.
