Days 1 - 2: Paris, France

  • Experience the most dramatic sights of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame, as you take a casual walk along the Seine river.

  • Have a picnic in the gardens of the Chateau de Versailles.

  • Explore art in the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, or Musee de l’Orangerie.

Arriving by plane? There are regular connections from Charles de Gaulle Airport to the centre of Paris. Your Eurail Pass also give you access to the direct Eurostar train from London - an advance reservation is required.

Days 2 - 3: Brussels, Belgium

  • Sample world famous Belgium chocolate at one of the numerous stores in the capital.

  • Soak up atmosphere and architecture in The Grand Place.

  • Take a romantic walk through the Marolles neighbourhood, and experience a panoramic view of the city from Jardin du Coeur.
     

There are high-speed trains traveling between Paris Nord and Brussels Midi throughout the day. The journey time is 90 minutes, an advance reservation is required.

Days 4 - 5: Amsterdam, Netherlands

  • Walk the canals and visit the impressively designed canal houses.

  • View some of the world’s most celebrated art in the Rijksmuseum.

  • Experience Amsterdam by night - the well lit bridges and cobbled streets give it a romantic feel that's different from the daytime.

  • Visit the Bloemenmarkt (flower market), and treat your partner to a bunch of Amsterdam’s finest flowers.

There are high-speed trains between Brussels and Amsterdam throughout the day. The journey time is 3 hours, and an advance reservation is required.

Days 6 - 7: Mainz, Germany (Rhine River Valley)

  • Take the early train to Koblenz in Germany. From there, change onto the Rhine Valley Line to Mainz.

  • Stop for a glass of cold Riesling wine on your way to Mainz.

  • Walk the Rhine river at sunset in Mainz.

  • Explore the small but quaint Mainz Old Town on foot.

There are several train options that will get you to your starting point in Koblenz. Once there, make sure you take the Rhine Valley Scenic Line to Mainz. The total journey time, including the scenic route, is approximately 5 hours.
