Hungary - Romania EN route
The Hungary - Romania Night Train (also known as the EuroNight Ister) runs between Budapest in Hungary and Bucharest in Romania. The larger part of the journey goes through Romania, crossing the country from west to south-east. The most interesting stop along the way is Brașov, in the Transylvania region. Here you can visit Bran Castle, more commonly known as Dracula’s castle. From Brașov, you can reach Bucharest in less than 3 hours. The entire journey should take you about 17 hours.

Reservations for the Hungary - Romania Night Train (EuroNight Ister) are compulsory. You can book your seat or accommodation up to 3 months in advance. If you're travelling in high-season (May to September) or on a public holiday, we recommend you make your reservations as soon as possible.
