Conditions of this Eurail Pass
Only non-European residents can travel with a Eurail Pass. If you’re a European resident you can travel with an Interrail Pass.
The Eurail Greek Islands Pass is only valid on vessels belonging to the Attica Group and special conditions apply.
Ferry services require reservations at all times. We recommend you make these reservations 1 month in advance.
1st class accommodation is only available on the international crossings between Italy and Greece.
You need to activate your Eurail Greek Islands Pass at your first European port within 11 months of the issue date. An Attica Group official can activate this pass, or you can use our free pre-activation service at checkout.
All standard Eurail Passes are refundable or exchangeable if they are returned unused. Read our booking terms

To travel with a discounted Youth Pass, you must be aged from 12 up to and including 27 on the start date of the Eurail Pass.
Children under 4 travel for free and do not need a Eurail Pass. You may be asked to sit a child under 4 on your lap during busy times.
Children aged 4 to 11 travel for free with a Child Pass. A child must be accompanied at all times by at least one person with an Adult Pass or Adult Saver Pass. This doesn’t have to be a family member and can be anyone over 18.
Up to 2 children can travel with 1 adult. For example, when 2 adults are traveling, they can take 4 children with them. If more than 2 children are traveling with 1 adult, a separate 1st class Youth Pass must be purchased for each additional child.
Travelers aged 12 to 27 can travel with a 1st class Youth Pass.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need anything besides my Greek Islands Pass to board the ferries?
Yes, you will need a boarding pass for each ferry, which you can pick up at the embarkation port. We advise you to be at the port about two hours before departure.
Making reservations for the ferry is also required, especially during the busy summer period. You should reserve your seat or bed at least one month in advance.- Are the international journeys between Italy and Greece mandatory?
No. On the 6 trips within 1 month Pass, the international ferries between Italy and Greece are optional. However, if you choose not to travel between Italy and Greece, it's not possible to substitute your international crossings for extra domestic trips.
- I want to make additional ferry trips in Greece. Is there a discount?
Yes, holders of the Eurail Greek Islands Pass get a 30% discount on all additional ferry routes operated by the Attica Group. Please keep in mind that your pass still has to be valid in order to get the discount.
- Can I bring my children on the ferry for free?
Yes, children aged 0-11 travel for free on the ferries. They have to be accompanied by an adult with a valid Eurail Greek Islands Pass at all times.
Children under 4 don't need a pass when they're not occupying a bed, berth or air seat. Children aged 4-11 need a Child pass - you can get 2 free Child passes with every Adult Pass. On the Eurail Greek Islands Pass page, check out prices under the tab that says 'Family'.
Children aged 12 and up on the first day of travel can get the Greek Islands Youth Pass.- What accommodation do I get with my Greek Islands Pass?
On the international ferry routes between Italy and Greece, 1st class pass holders are entitled to a bed in a 4-bed cabin. 2nd class pass holders are entitled to aircraft type seats.
On the domestic routes in Greece, there is no difference in class. Both 1st and 2nd class pass holders are entitled to Economy Class seats.

Yes. The Eurail Greek Islands Pass is the only Pass that offers ferry trips in the Greek Islands. If you would like to also travel in mainland Greece or any other countries you should combine the Greek Islands Pass with an additional Pass that is valid for those countries.
