Free passage with a Eurail 6 day Greek Island Pass

Holders of a Eurail 6 day Greek Islands Pass are entitled to two free crossings between Italy and Greece. 1st class Pass holders are entitled to travel in a 4-bed shared cabin. 2nd class Pass holders are entitled to travel in aircraft type seats.

Additionally, Greek Islands Pass holders are entitled to a 30% discount on any economy class trips that are in addition to their free trips.

No surcharges, taxes, and high/shoulder season supplements apply when traveling with the 6 day Greek Island Pass.

Free passage with a Eurail Global Pass

Holders of a Eurail Global Pass don't have to pay the passenger fare and need to add a travel day when traveling with Superfast Ferries. Surcharges, taxes, and high/shoulder season supplements apply.

1st class Pass holders are entitled to travel in dormitories (when available*) or aircraft type seats.

2nd class Pass holders are entitled deck passage and seating.

Discounted passage with a Eurail Greece or Italy Pass

Holders of a Eurail Greece Pass or Italy Pass get 30% discount on the passenger fare. Surcharges, taxes, and high/shoulder season supplements apply.

High season & Shoulder season supplement

An additional High/Shoulder Season Supplement’ is charged between June and September. These costs differ per month:

15 euros: June and September, Shoulder season
25 euros: July and August, High season

Eurail Pass holders can get a 30% discount (surcharges and taxes apply) on the passenger fare on Greek Domestic Routes (ferries between the Greek Islands) operated by Blue Star Ferries and Hellenic Seaways, provided that you have already made a crossing between Italy and Greece with Superfast Ferries or Anek Lines.

How to book your reservation online

Greece - international ferry (Superfast Ferries): Important

You must book your ferries in the order that you will use them! If you book out of order, your Pass will not be valid from your starting location. For example, you book your first ferry for the 10th of August, this date will be the activation date of your Pass. The next ferry you book can only be after this date, for example on the 13th of August, not on the 8th of August.

1. Go to the Superfast Ferries website.

2. Fill in the departure port, arrival port, departure date (and return date if applicable), and select for how many people you’ll be booking.

3. You’ll get a result page with all the available ferries, select the one you want to book a reservation for.

When booking INCLUDED international ferries for Greek Islands 6 day Pass holders

4. On the next page, scroll down to ‘Seats’ and under ‘Passenger 1’ select the ‘Seat Type’ you want to travel in. If you want to add a cabin, click on ‘Add cabins’ and select the cabin.

2^nd class Pass holders are entitled to travel in ‘Airplane type seats’

1^st class Pass holders are entitled to travel in both ‘Airplane type seats’, or in a (female or male) ‘4 bed cabin’

5. Click ‘Passenger Type’ and select your age group. Make sure to leave the discount field empty!

6. Fill in your personal information. You can leave the ‘Discount ID / Document’ field empty.

7. Add your contact information.

8. Next to the contact information fields, you’ll find an ‘Additional Discount…’ field. Click it and select your Greek Islands Pass (Eurail or Interrail, 1st or 2nd class). The total price should become €0.

9. Click ‘Proceed’, and you’ll get to the ‘Booking Confirmation’ page. Double check if all the information is correct, select the Terms and Conditions and click ‘Confirm & Book’.

10. After payment you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via the email address that you used when making the reservation. Please note that the email confirmation is not your ticket and that you have to follow the steps in the email to collect your actual ticket.

5. Click ‘Next step’ and you’ll get to the ‘Your Details’ page. At the top you’ll see that the ‘Total tickets cost’ is now €0.

Overnight ferries

Travel days and ferries

When traveling by night ferry (Superfast, Minoan or Blue Star Ferries), you have to use a travel day and fill in the day of departure in your travel calendar. If you are still on this ferry after midnight, you don't have to use a second travel day unless you board a second ferry.

If you're traveling on a discounted ferry, you don't have to use a travel day.

Please note that you cannot start your travel before the first day of validity on your Pass.
